Outdoor Classroom

WE LOVE OUTDOOR PLAY!

Getting children outside in the fresh air is very important to their development.

We have created a fantastic outdoor play area and classroom for all ages to enjoy. Featuring; traditional play equipment, a musical garden, planting area, mud kitchen, water feature, tree trunk stepping trail, sand and compost diggers and even a bug hotel.
But that’s not everything, we even have our own Spinney Castle that the children adore playing in.

The Spinney team have invested a great deal into creating an inspirational outside space, and we’re very proud of the result. More importantly, the children love it – and they’re the real judges!

Children play outside at least once a day  – we have plenty of wet weather gear if needed to keep little one’s dry.

OUTDOOR CLASSROOM

The best way to learn about nature is to be outside in it. This is why we’ve created an Outdoor Classroom, where indoor activities can be taken outdoors.

Our emphasis is on learning something new in a fun way, whilst engaging with the surrounding environment. The Pre School children also have the opportunity to attend our Forest School sessions in the wonderful woods behind our Spinney Day Nursery Hoole site.

GROWING GARDEN

We also have a fabulous Growing Garden where the children can plant seeds and watch plants grow. This is a great opportunity for little explorers to find out where fruit and vegetables come from. Also it teaches children how to care for their plants and what reward to expect at the end.
