The Pre School children at the Spinney Day Nursery Hoole set out on an adventure to explore the Magic Woods, located just behind the nursery.

They had heard about the fairies that lived there and wanted to see if they could spot any, as well as the wildlife that calls the woods home.

They had a great time looking at the dens that the Holiday Club children had made and even pretended to make a camp fire.

As they walked through the woods and fields they listened carefully to all of the different sounds that were around them. They could hear the birds tweeting, insects buzzing and the wind rustling the leaves.

The Magic Woods are a lovely place for the nursery children to explore and experience their natural surroundings through forest school type sessions.
