What a lovely day it has been here in Chester with the sun shining and birds singing! The children at the Spinney Hoole made the most of it and had a great time playing in their outdoor area this afternoon.

As soon as coats and shoes were on, they headed outside to play in the fresh air and sunshine. What is really lovely about watching the children play in their Outdoor Area is how they play together. Whether they are playing together in the Play House, taking it turns to go down the slide and seesaw, or just simply playing, it is clear how much fun they have.

Some of the children enjoyed watching the birds on the bird feeder in the large garden as they flew down, took some food and flew off again. Much to their delight a little Robin landed on the fence near to the Outdoor Play Area and didn’t seem too frightened by the loud but very happy laughter of the children as they played together.

The children are also looking forward to getting back in to their Growing Garden again soon to start planting vegetables and flowers that they love to watch grow and take care of throughout spring and summer.

Needless to say, the children at the Spinney love playing outside and enjoy all the area available to them including the Outdoor Area, the Growing Garden, the Magic Woods, the Nature & Pixie House Area and the large lawn.
