Last Friday the children at the Spinney Day Nursery Hoole were treated to a very special concert. Two of our very talented parents popped in to play some of their musical instruments, including a trombone, cornet and tuba!
Children from the Toddler Room, Inbetweenies and Pre School all listened in amazement and enjoyed singing along to songs such as ‘Old McDonald’ and ‘Twinkle, Twinkle’ and ‘Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious‘ that were played beautifully.
It wasn’t long before they started dancing along with some even joining in by pretending to play the trombone!
The Pre School children even had a go at trying to play the tuba and cornet, which was a lot of fun but rather difficult to get a sound out of it! It just goes to show that learning to play musical instruments takes a lot of practise.
Inspired by the instruments, the children even made their own from paper plates!
It was fantastic to have the parents pop in to play for the children again as they have so many times before. We have been very lucky to have them play at our Jubilee Party, Garden Party and Christmas Concerts over the years and although their little boy is leaving us to start school in September, we really hope they come back to play for us in the future!
On behalf of everyone at the Spinney Day Nursery Hoole, we would like to say a big thank you to Mr & Mrs Barraclough!
