An observation where a child made a whooshing rocket shape with their hands whilst singing a song about them has led to a fun packed, busy week for the toddlers at the Spinney Bell Meadow. The have been doing rocket play in the small world area as well as getting crafty and creative by colouring in a huge cut out rocket, which they then had a great time playing in.

Next they actually got to make their very own little rockets from junk modelling and spent the afternoon playing with them all together!

They finished the day with the fantastic story ‘Whatever Next?’ by Jill Murphy, which tells of a bear cub’s adventures at bath time where he flies to the moon in his homemade rocket! What a fabulous time they all had!
