Following their ‘Wee Beasties’project this week, the children at the Spinney Bell Meadow Pre School took their clip boards and ID charts out into the garden today to go on a bug hunt. They talked about what they kind of bugs they thought they would find and then took charts out with them to tick off any that they could see.

We then discovered at our front door a surprise guest that had obviously smelt the freshly baked cakes and came to try some. It was a newt, and a lovely newt at that. The children called her Bell, then we went to the pond and put her back so she could be with her family! What a fab nature day!
